Visiting an orchard / Stisted Community Orchard
Stisted Community Orchard
- Location: Rectory Rd, Stisted, Braintree CM77 8AL
The orchard of 45 trees was established in 2008, replacing the remains of an earlier one. It is adjacent to the Village Hall, and managed by volunteers led by the Trustees of Stisted Village Hall. The orchard is next to the allotments and community wildlife pond and is home to two colonies of bees. There is a parking area next to the orchard and it's a lovely place to visit as a family or for school groups. The Village Hall organises an annual apple pressing day and has hosted pruning workshops for the community.
